Paint Correction Techniques
The intense Mediterranean sun and dusty conditions in Malta quickly reveal imperfections in a vehicle's paint. Our core service revolves around advanced paint correction techniques. This is not a simple wax job that hides scratches; it is a meticulous leveling of the clear coat.
Using dual-action polishers and varying grades of micro-abrasive compounds, we safely permanently remove swirl marks, holograms, oxidation, and light wash scratches. We measure paint thickness across the vehicle before beginning to ensure there is adequate clear coat to safely perform the correction.
The Wash & Decontamination Phase
Before any machine touches the paint, the surface must be surgically clean. We employ a pre-wash snow foam to loosen heavier grime without abrasion. This is followed by a two-bucket wash method utilizing grit guards to prevent marring.
Chemical decontamination removes embedded iron fallout (often from brake dust), while mechanical clay bar treatment shears off bonded sap and overspray, leaving the surface smooth as glass.
Multi-Stage Polishing
Depending on the condition of the vehicle, we perform single-stage enhancement or multi-stage correction. A heavy compounding phase removes deeper defects, followed by a refining polish phase that burnishes the finish to a high-gloss, mirror-like state, preparing it perfectly for sealants or ceramic coatings.
